The working environment of trenchless construction machinery is harsh and complex. The main shaft and cutter head system operate under low-speed and heavy-load states for a long time, which poses a significant challenge to the reliability of the equipment. However, blindly increasing design redundancies also adds extra financial pressure on customers. In order to achieve a perfect combination of equipment reliability and cost, Jianbang focuses on following aspects:

As the founder of the company, Mr. Wang Yuejin has nearly 30 years of experience in the design and application of trenchless equipment. Based on this foundation, recruit professional technicians with working experience in world-class mechanical transmission companies such as SKF, ABB and Bonfiglioli to form the core design team.

 

Optimize the design process

For components with high risks such as the cutter head and transmission system that are difficult to repair underground, simulation modeling analysis is adopted to verify and guide the equipment design. For example, as shown in the following pictures, during the development of a 2.6-meter TBM, the end user puts a very demanding delivery time requirement which cannot meet due to the lead time of slewing bearing. Jianbang redesigned the bearing and gear mesh by the aid of simulation verification. A rolling bearing support layout with better delivery time was adopted, while bearing capacity still within the acceptable range. The cutter head was also redesigned to reserve a passage for manually changing the cutting tools. In the end, not only the equipment was delivered in time, but also the bearing procurement cost was significantly reduced.
 


Keep optimizing production facilities and quality control processes

In order to better match different customer requirements, Jianbang has cooperated with Fenghong Machinery to establish a pipe-jacking manufacturing center in Xiangtan, Hunan. Relying on the strong local supply chain of construction machinery industry, this manufacturing center provides high-quality and cost-effective products for customers.


This center is equipped with various types of laser and flame cutting, riveting and welding, and large-scale machining equipment. It has a sandblasting and painting room of 5*6*10 meters to fulfill high appearance requirements (Figures 3 - Figure 12).


We have passed the ISO9001 quality management system certification and introduced electronic logistics management system. A fully traceable QR code has been established for each component to ensure good quality and no delivery delay (Figure 2). At the same time, we are also equipped with UT flaw detection equipment and have qualified inspectors who can conduct non-destructive flaw detection on important welds, gear & shaft forgings and plate raw materials, according to customer requirements and issue detection reports (Figure 13).
